Before You Install

Save a copy of your current Resource Redirect settings before changing the icon path. This gives you an easy way to return to your previous setup later. Once Revenge is working, keep the extracted folder in the exact same location. Resource Redirect loads the icon files from that saved path, so moving or renaming the folder will stop the pack from loading.

How to Install the Revenge Icon Pack

1. Install Windhawk: Download and install Windhawk if you haven’t already.
2. Enable Resource Redirect: Open Windhawk, search for the Resource Redirect mod, and install it.
3. Download Revenge: Download the ZIP archive using the button below.
4. Extract the Pack: Extract the archive to a safe folder location on your PC that you won’t delete later.
5. Copy the Folder Path: Open the extracted Revenge folder and copy its full Windows directory path.
6. Apply in Windhawk: Go to the Resource Redirect mod settings and paste the Revenge folder path into the custom theme/resource folder field. (Remove quotation marks if Windows automatically added them).
7. Save & Refresh: Apply the settings. Restart Windows Explorer if the new icons do not appear immediately.

Troubleshooting: If Some Icons Do Not Change

Resource Redirect can only replace resources included in the pack. Some third-party applications provide their own icons, and certain folders (like picture folders) may display thumbnail previews instead of the normal folder resource. If the path is correct in Windhawk but the old icons remain everywhere, try restarting Windows Explorer or clearing your Windows icon cache.

How to Remove

1. Open Windhawk and select the installed Resource Redirect mod.
2. Open its settings and find the custom path currently pointing to the Revenge folder.
3. Replace the Revenge path with your earlier configuration, or remove it entirely to return to the default Windows resources.
4. Save the changes and restart Windows Explorer.
5. You can now safely delete the extracted Revenge folder from your PC.
